Jim’s work with dozens of independent schools includes advancement assessments, campaign planning and feasibility studies, trustee and staff training, and strategic fundraising counsel.
Prior to Marts & Lundy, Jim’s passion for connecting nonprofits to donors led him to EverTrue, where he served as Chief Evangelist. While at EverTrue, Jim helped hundreds of organizations understand how technology and innovation can transform their fundraising programs.
From 1993 to 2011, Jim served in various roles at the following schools:

– The Lawrenceville School, NJJim began his development career at his alma mater, Bucknell University, and later served as the president of the Alumni Association.

A Senior Consultant in Strategic Communications, Charlie works across the nonprofit spectrum, helping organizations create clear, compelling messaging that inspires engagement and support.
Charlie works closely with his clients to get to the essence of the organization’s story, particularly around fundraising campaigns. He brings a strategic approach to communication planning and how messages are delivered across platforms, blending analytics and creativity.
Prior to joining Marts & Lundy, Charlie served as Associate Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations Communications at Vanderbilt University and Vice President for PR & Communications at Colgate University.
